Arsene Wenger says he has the utmost respect and sympathy for under pressure Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
Manchester United are currently fifth on the table and 20 points behind leaders Leicester City.
With Arsenal visiting Old Trafford on Sunday, the struggling form of the red devils, has placed pressure on the Dutchman.
“I don’t want to speak too much about Man United today because we’re focussed on us but of course he has my respect and my sympathy,” Wenger said of Van Gaal.
“Being favourites is not a special meaning, it’s opinions. Results are down to performance and reality so that’s what you want to focus on. It’s good to talk, but results are made by performances.”
