Uber launches Okada service – Ride-sharing and taxi service Uber has recently announced the launch of a motorcycle service, UberMOTO.

UberMOTO, which will allow people to book short rides on motorcycles, will start off in Bangkok, Thailand, before being deployed to other parts of the world.

All UberMOTO riders will have a helmet for themselves, and a spare helmet for the passengers, in compliance with Bangkok traffic rules.

Motorcycles, which are commonly known as Okada in Nigeria, have been outlawed in most cities in Nigeria due to the high frequency of accidents they cause and their use in crime.
