A classic case of caught in the middle, Nick Cannon ex-husband to Mariah Carey had to defend Mariah’s honor on MTV Base “Wild N Out” when Stevie J bragged about banging her not once, but twice.
It seems an everyday case of men bragging about their conquests, only this time, the joke came out wrong.
Stevie J, 44, who is the producer of Mariah’s hit single Honey in her 1997 album, ‘Butterfly’, came off strong during a rap battle on ‘Wild N Out’ when he taunted Nick on shagging the award-winning singer much to Cannon’s exasperation. Stevie also stars in VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Stevie was at the show with on and off girlfriend Josephine Hernandez, who has been rumored being involved with rapper, Rick Ross – battling against Nick Cannon, 35, when things took a weird turn and he had to spit the lines.
Nick retorted that Stevie J should be more worried about Josephine since she is still sleeping with the father of her child, Ricky Rozay.
It turns out it was about to get dirtier after which Cannon threatened with, “You’ll never work in this town again,” because he has so many TV shows and connections, according to TMZ.
Producers had to step in to avoid verbal blows turning into physical punches.
Mariah has remained friends with ex Nick Cannon though they are still in the process of getting divorced. They both share twins, Monroe and Morrocan.
The Touch My Body crooner, shares an eleven-year gap in age with the America’s Got Talent host. Despite dating for just six weeks, the duo got married in April 2008 in the Bahamas.
Mariah is currently enjoying a new love after saying ‘Yes’ to Australian-business tycoon James Packer when he popped the question in January.
Bragging about who you slept with can be fun. Sometimes.
Unless the humor is lost in transit and the jokee does not find the joker’s joke funny enough for a crack-a-teeth.
