Delta State Police Command has apprehended three men, simply identified as Mr Kenneth Okoro, aged 58 years, Mr Abolity A. Ogwu, aged 65 years, and Mr Paul Ogwe, aged 70 years for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Agbor, the administrative headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the arrest, the state command spokeswoman, Mrs Celestina Kalu, a duty superintendent of police (DSP), disclosed that the three alleged rapists were arrested following a report at Police Station Agbor by the mother of the victim, Mrs Patricia Oroyelu.
Speaking to the Police, the mother said her daughter (names withheld) was severally raped by the aforementioned suspects, “taking advantage of the state of her (victim’s) health.”
Following the report, detectives swung into action and arrested the aforementioned suspects for investigation.
Meanwhile, the suspects have been arraigned in court for prosecution.
