MiFone MiTribe A500 review – A new smartphone company, Mi-Fone, has made it official debut in Nigeria with the launch of its first phone, the mi-Tribe A500.
The phone was launched in Nigeria on the 16th of February, with mi-Fone partnering with Konga to bring the phone into the Nigerian market.
The mi-Tribe A500 comes in a grey square box, which looks perfect for gift-giving. Mi-Fone had revealed that the phone was made for the Nigerian, as a blast of color green hits you as soon as you start unboxing.
The phone is a standard entry level phone, and a very beautiful one at that. It comes with a 5-inch display and an HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The phone is slightly slim, with a plastic body that’s easy to grip.
It is equipped with an 8-megapixel back camera with a flash, and a front facing 2-megapixel camera. Not exactly the best for a picture lover, but it does the job.
Inside the phone, the mi-Tribe A500 is the more or less the same with every other entry level phone. It packs a quad-core processor, with 2GB of RAM and a 1.3GHz CPU that will allow for very smooth performances. It comes with a very spacious 16 GB of internal memory, and there’s also space for a memory card. It comes with Android 5.1, the latest version of the Android OS.
It has dual sim capabilities, and carries a 2300 mAh battery, which means if you use your phone a lot, you should probably get a power bank. Did I mention the battery is green? Truly Nigerian LOL.
If you’re on a low budget and want a stress-free phone, the Mi-Tribe A500 is a very good buy.
