The corpse of the late Oyelowo Oyediran Ajanaku, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his lawyer-wife, Yewande Oyediran, will be laid to rest on Friday, February 26, in his hometown, Gbongan, in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, after a funeral service.
The deceased, who died at the age of 38, was the only brother of the Presiding Pastor/General Overseer of the Pentecostal Fellowship Assembly (PFA), Julius Olaolu Orowumi.
According to a statement signed by Pastor Orowumi, as part of activities lined up for the burial, service of songs would be held in his honour on Wednesday, February 24, at PFA, at 103, Iju Road, Ajilete Bus Stop, Ifako-Agege, Lagos, by 5.00p.m.
The decision was taken by the family after the conclusion of police investigations and post mortem.
The burial service will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Oke Osun Diocese, Gbongan, Osun State.
Interment will follow immediately after a brief church service at the Church Cemetery, Oke-Elu, Gbongan, Osun State.
Meanwhile, the accused, Yewande was arraigned before a Magistrate court in Iyaganku, Oyo state, on February 16, 2016 on a one-count charge of murder. She allegedly committed the offence, contrary to and punishable under the Laws of Oyo State.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Kehinde Durosaro-Tijani, however, adjourned the case till March 1st and Yewande was taken back to Agodi prison where she has been locked up since the attack happened.
