In a statement issued on Saturday, Mulade, also alleged that the persecution of the ex-MEND leader was generating incitement, adding that what caused militancy in the Niger Delta is gradually resurfacing under the current administration.

He said: ‘’Government should not create loopholes for more dangerous militants suppressed by Tompolo’s presence from taking advantage of his issue with the government to cause more havoc in the region.”

He said Tompolo has many loyalists in the region who are ready to resort to violence and destruction of oil installations because of the issue he is having with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
