Memphis Depay admits he’s flopped – Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has admitted he’s been disappointing so far for his new club.
Depay arrived Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven in the summer with much fanfare, with many believing him to be the club’s replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
A series of poor performances have seen Depay lose his first team shirt to youngster Jesse Lingard, and the Dutch man knows he can be better.
“No. Not yet. I know that. I will continue to fight for it,” Depay said when asked if his performances had lived up to expectations.
“I have a lot of expectations on myself. That’s important. The club is busy and I am busy to improve it. I don’t want to put a date on it or say when but it will come. Confidence will help and experience. You learn from your mistakes. Those moments they will come and I will work and focus on it.”
