Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be unavailable for his side’s clash against Sunderland.

Klopp has taken ill, with what is said to be suspected appendicitis, and despite being available for the press conference on Friday, will not be in dugout today.

First-team coaches Zeljko Buvac, Peter Krawietz, Pepijn Lijnders and John Achterberg will take charge of the team in the German’s absence.

It is not yet known how long Klopp will be out for, but Liverpool need a win to go seventh and Sunderland search for their first victory in 3 games.
