Some nuns in California called The Sisters of the Valley grow medicinal marijuana in their garage for various pot-laced health products.
However, these sisters – Sisters Kate and Darcy – are not Catholic despite being garbed in traditional habits, but they consider themselves nuns with a calling to heal the sick — using weed.
“We spend no time on bended knee, but when we make our medicine it’s a prayerful environment. It’s a prayerful time,” Kate told KFSN-TV.
Medicinal pot is legal in California, but bills signed into law recently allow local governments to restrict or ban marijuana growing and dispensing, so the sisters might not be growing high for much longer.
