The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy Abdulkareem Abdulmalik, in a statement in Lokoja, maintained that Bello has no Facebook or Twitter accounts.

He said: “I have been directed to inform the public that the governor has not opened any facebook or twitter account.

“This announcement is imperative in view of the fake social media accounts in the name of Governor Bello opened by unscrupulous individuals to defraud the public.

“As an IT-compliant governor, Alhaji Bello will use the social media for information and social activities in his drive for a better Kogi State. Official accounts will be made public when launched.”

The general public were urged not to allow themselves to be deceived by fraudsters, saying the governor, being IT-compliant, would make his official social media accounts known to the public whenever they are opened.
