Zinedine Zidane has backed Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of recent criticism, calling him the best in the world.
Ronaldo has scored 25 goals in all competitions so far this season, but has been less decisive in front of goal.
And despite losing the Ballon d’Or to Messi, Zidane has not lost faith in the ace forward.
“Ronaldo is doing just fine,” Zidane told reporters at a press conference. “He has my full support. I am very satisfied with him. Ronaldo is still the best in the world for me.
“He is a decisive player. There is always a lot of talk about him, but I am happy with him.”
Ronaldo will be looking to add to his tally when los Blancos host the minnows on Sunday, but Zidane has warned they will not be pushovers.
