Arsene Wenger adamant on Alexis Sanchez injury

Arsene Wenger has revealed the possibility of Alexis Sanchez being available on Sunday, but insists he won’t rush him.

Sanchez suffered a hamstring injury from November 29, and was expected to make a comeback before the end of the year, only for a setback to rule him out.

But it seems the forward will now return to the squad, but will undergo a fitness test.

“I will be cautious now. There is an opportunity that he will be in the squad for Sunday,” Wenger said at a news conference.

“He will have a definite test on Saturday. Friday and Saturday will be two important days for him.

“It is not impossible that he will be involved.”

Sanchez has been a key figure for Arsenal in 2015-16, netting nine goals in 20 appearances across all>
