Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has stated after scoring a hat trick in the win over Athletic, that he has nothing to feel sorry about after being handed a two game ban in the last 16 Espanyol Copa clash.
The referees report stated Suarez had spiked a confrontation when he angered an espanyol player and he was punished.
Missing the return leg of the copa clash, the Uruguay international will also miss the quarterfinals clash against Athletic.
About the sanction, I don’t know if I will play but my conscience is clear because I did not say anything,” Suarez told reporters after scoring a hat-trick in the 6-0 La Liga win over Athletic on Sunday.
The attacker then reflected on Sunday’s demolition of Athletic, in which he scored twice and won a penalty.
“My instincts and ambition have got me this far,” he added.
“That’s one of my strengths and I fought all the way to get there ahead of the keeper and was able to win the penalty.
“I just try to do my best, but there are a lot of players out ahead of me in world football.”
