Star Wars: The Force Awakens has made a record $861 million in the United States and $1.88 billion globally in five weeks of release.

Disney didn’t state the official reason for the postponement, and the Star Wars‘ spin-0ff, Rogue One, will still be released on the 16th of December this year.

Affected by the date shift however is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which will now be released on May 26, 2017.
