Chelsea have received a welcomed boost in their pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Alex Teixeira.
Widespread newspaper reports claim the Premier League champions have verbally agreed a deal in principle for Teixeria, who has scored 10 goals in 10 appearances this season.
And now Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu has revealed the Ukrainian club would “fully support” the Brazilian’s transfer, as long as the proposed offer satisfies both the club and the player.
“Teixeira and I are talked a lot in the press now,” he said. “At the moment there are no official proposals. So it makes no sense to talk about it.
“If there is an offer that will satisfy both the player and the club, I will fully support his move. I want to see my players perform in the best, top teams in Europe.”
