In a bid to combat corruption and its framework in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has requested the National Assembly to consider two proposed executive bills.
The bills are Money Laundering Prevention and Prohibition Bill 2016 and the Criminal Matters Bill 2016.
Premium Times reports that the letters containing the two bills were forwarded to the lawmakers and read by the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday at plenary.
However, details of the two bills are unknown at this time.
In the meantime, the National Assembly on Wednesday proceeded with deliberations on the 2016 budget with focus on economic diversification and infrastructural development.
