Moussa Sissoko expects to stay at Newcastle for the remainder of the season, but has revealed he will consider his future after the European Championships.
Widespread newspaper reports have linked Sissoko with a move to Italian side Napoli this month following the arrivals of midfielders Jonjo Shelvey and Henri Saivet at St James’ Park.
Sissoko is expected to be named in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for Euro 2016 this summer and the 26-year-old says he does not want to jeopardise his inclusion by leaving Newcastle during the January transfer window.
“I do not think I will leave Newcastle. The club will not want to let me go. And then the question arises about the timing, a few months before the Euros,” he told Telefoot.
