Madonna, Cher, Jess Glynne And Kanye West Lead Tribute For David Bowie

share on:

“David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.” This press statement issues from the Bowie’s camp after Legendary rockstar and role model to Lady Gaga, passed away this past Sunday.

Bowie who had just celebrated his 69th birthday last week also released his 25th and final studio album Blackstar. The star had lost the battle to cancer after two years.

He leaves behind a wife, Iman, as well as two children, Duncan Jones and Alexandria “Lexi” Zahra Jones, and millions of fans in mourning across the world. Bowie is famous for his great music, advocating for gender equality as well as sexuality. He also had an upstanding performance for his role in Labyrinth.

His recently released video for Lazarus off his Blackstar album is spooky to say the least as it deals with death, demons and all creepiness. Some commenters on Youtube also referred to the death detail in Bowie’s new album Blackstar. Most of the videos were deathified. Those death scenes you put in videos only to die in real life. Kinda what happened to Bowie. Like he knew he was going to die. Still, a great artist has been lost, but his music lives on.

Stars who have paid their tribute include Cher, Madonna, Pharell Williams, Jess Glyne, and Kanye West.
