Jurgen Klopp has “nothing to say” on Liverpool’s move for Alex Teixeira but admits he is in the market for new players.
According to Sky Sports Sources, the Reds are in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over a move for the Brazilian attacker, who has scored 22 goals in 15 Ukrainian league games this season.
And Klopp, who is without injured strikers Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Danny Ings, wants “a solution” to Liverpool’s problems this month if possible.
It’s not perfect time to buy but we have to watch the market,” the Anfield boss said ahead of Saturday’s trip to Norwich. “If we find a solution and a player who can help us then we’ll try.
“If we see a good player and there’s a longer time to work together than three games, and we think it’s possible to do something that we would do in the summer…”
Asked about Teixeira he said: “There’s nothing to say about this. We can talk about any player in the world if we had time for it.”
