Ifeanyi Ubah FC announces Brazilian signings – Nigerian Professional Football League side, Ifeanyi Ubah FC have signaled their intent to challenge for major honors with 8 new signings.
The club recently announced the signing of 8 new Brazilians to the team, with 6 of the players and the others assistant coaches.
“This season we decided that even if you are a Messi or Ronaldo you have to touch the ball in Nigeria,” club chairman Chukwuma Ubah said.
“We have insisted that whoever must play for us must touch the ball and after they must have gone through the trials then we will determine who will be signed.
“If you agree with me, Ifeanyi Ubah (club owner) is someone that goes for near perfection, we know only God is perfect, we try to put finesse in anything we do. We don’t go for little measures, we aim so high.
“As it is, out target is to bring good football into Nigeria and it is an opportunity for anyone who will be playing with them to learn from them.” he said.
It is the first time South Americans will be playing in the NPFL, and the international presence is likely to help increase the league’s quality.
