The appeal committee at Fifa has suspended the transfer ban that was imposed on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
The ban was imposed after they broke rules pertaining to signing young players.
But with the Madrid clubs looking to appeal the decision, the ban has been temporarily lifted.
Atletico maintain that they acted within the law in all cases with which Fifa have raised grievances and announced their intention to appeal on Monday.
“We consider that we have acted within the law in all cases,” a statement read.
“In addition, we request the probationary suspension of the sanction pending the outcome of the appeal.”
Real have also declared that they will fight the charges since they were handed out on January 14.
