A Federal High Court, sitting in Maitama, Abuja on Monday, December 21, has granted bail to former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, and others who along with him are facing charges of diversion of about N13bn meant for procurement of arms.
One of the sureties that each of the accused persons must produce, will also have to tender title documents of N250m worth of property which the court ordered must be valued by a registered estate valuer.
Among other conditions, the accused persons are expected to deposit their passport with the court.
Other accused, who the court granted bail along with Dasuki, are a former Director of Finanance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, his son, Sagir Attahiru; a firm Dalhatu Investment and and a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda.
The judge fixed February 2 and 3 for trial.
