Gabriel Omogbo faces life imprisonment

A preacher of the Celestial Church of Christ, Gabriel Omogbo, has been arrested in the United States for committing crimes across hotels.

Omogbo has been charged with attempted first degree murder, armed robbery, first degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Omogbo was accused of raping and stealing from women he met online, with the first two incidents occurring at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Rockville and the third at the Radison Hotel in Rockville.

He reportedly cut the arms and legs of his 3rd victim, stealing her phone & iPad and $300.

Police were able to use CCTV footage and DNA evidence to nail Omogbo, who will stand trial on January 8 and could face life in prison.
