Sergio Busquets says he is to blame for Barcelona’s slip up against Deportivo La Coruna.
Barcelona lost a two goal lead, after Messi and Rakitic put them up 2-0, only for Deportivo to equalise.
And when the equaliser was to be scored, it was from a slip up from Busquets.
“In the second half, at 2-0 we thought it was almost done,” the Spain international told Barca TV.
“We had the bad luck of conceding a goal and then there was my loss of the ball. I take full blame for the equaliser.
“We must learn to close out games or when we can try to limit any counter-attacks and have plenty of men behind the ball.
Rakitic, meanwhile, was “hurt” by his side dropping points and feels they should have killed it off before the equaliser.
“Sometimes it’s tough to control what happens out on the pitch. We have to analyse it, talk about it and improve,” he said.
“We controlled the game, which was positive, but it hurts to draw after being up 2–0.
“We have to congratulate Deportivo because they played their game until the end.
“We had chances to score more and we just didn’t put away the game.”
