Van Persie And Memphis Dropped From Netherlands Squad

Both Van Persie and Depay have been left out of the latest Netherlands squad by Danny Blind, with Robben making a return.

Danny Blind has always talked about the inconsistency with the starting Van Persie has at Fenerbache.

And ahead of their friendlies against Wales and Germany after failing to qualify for the Euro 2016, Van Persie and Memphis have both being dropped.

“Robin never got back into his rhythm after his transfer,” he told reporters. “That is not a good sign. But his absence is not forever. In terms of potency, Robin is still the best.

“It’s a new era. With a view to building to the World Cup, I have to see the other players at work. I must look to the future.”
