Kennedy Boboye resigns from Sunshine Stars

The Head Coach of the Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure, Kennedy Boboye, has announced his resignation from the team.

According to Complete Sports, Boboye quit the team after failing to secure a ticket to any of the continental competitions.

The Stars were top of the table midway through the season, but somehow contrived to end the season in 6th place.

Boboye, who once coached the Sharks of Port-Harcourt, said: “I have left my post as head coach of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure.”

“I wish the club well in future and want to thank the management and the players for their support. It was fun working with the club, but I think it’s the best time for me to move forward.”
