Saraki Fails Second Bid To Stop CCT Trial

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has struck out an application by Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, seeking to stop his trial with the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT in Abuja.

It is the second time Saraki’s bid to stop his trial before the CCT has failed, after Justice Ibrahim Buba held that the court lacks jurisdiction to hear the application.

Saraki is standing trial at the CCT on a 13 count charge of false asset declaration while he was governor of Kwara state.
