Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno is back on Real Madrid’s radar, reports Marca.
Real Madrid’s first-choice left-back, Marcelo, sustained an injury during last weekend’s Clasico defeat to Barcelona and the likes of Alvaro Arbeloa and Danilo have not impressed on the left side of defence this season.
As such, Marca claim Madrid are desperate to bring in a new left-back when the transfer window re-opens in January.
There are several names on their shortlist, including Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez, Lyon’s Samuel Umtiti and Ludogorets’ Natanael, while Bayern Munich’s David Alaba is a long-standing target.
However, Madrid are unable to sign any more non-EU players and they would prefer to recruit a player who is not cup-tied in the Champions League, so Liverpool’s Moreno has once again emerged as a firm target for Los Blancos.
