Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Others Talk About Movie Industry At Eko Akete

At the ongoing Lagos Creative Industry Fair, Multichoice Africa brought top ranking Nollywood personalities to discuss and enlighten an audience in a capacity building workshop on ‘Film, Television and Nollywood’.

The event which was organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce in partnership with DSTV, GOtv, and Africa Magic had Desmond Elliot, Ramsey Nouah, Ireti Doyle, Lancelot Imasuen and Lilian Amah as the panelists of the discussion. The esteemed guests spoke at length on capacity building within Nollywood, television and the movie industry to help structure and improve the industry for investment and distribution opportunities. They guest spoke on the need for more structure within the industry, more cinemas across Nigeria, stronger distribution models, skill exchanges, mentor/mentee relationships among directors, producers, talent; and enforcement of existing piracy laws.

The members of the panel, as well appreciated DSTV and by extension African Magic and GOtv for the television platform it has created that has helped to improve the quality if television and film production, and positively drive the movie industry in Africa.

The workshop was supported by Farm Pride, manufacturers of healthy drinks; El Carnaval, and 960 Music.
