In the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks on Nov 13 which killed at least 129 people, Russia and France agreed to coordinate their military and security services against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants in Syria.

“We are going to pursue terrorists everywhere. If they are in the airport, we will pursue them in the airport. And if we capture them in the toilet, then we will waste them in the outhouse. … The issue has been resolved once and for all,” Putin told Russian media.
