Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has announced via Instagram that he does not expect to play until February.
Nasri picked up a hamstring injury in City’s match against Bournemouth last month and was expected to be available this weekend against Liverpool.
That will most definitely not be the case, as Nasri has revealed he’ll be out of action until February next year.
“What doesn’t kill you makes you strong. I’ll be back better than ever in three months,†he told his social media followers.
The hamstring problem is the latest in a series of issues that have plagued him over the course of 2015. In January he missed three games due to a groin problem, while another groin problem prematurely ended his campaign last season.
As well as the encounter against Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Etihad Stadium, Nasri will also miss, among others, Premier League matches with Arsenal, Everton and Southampton.
