Federal High Court orders release of ex-NSA Sambo Dasuki’s passport
Mr. Dasuki, who is currently standing trial for alleged possession of firearms and money laundering, had his passport taken away from him as part of his collateral for bail.
While he denied the charges, Mr. Dasuki urged the court to release the passport to enable him travel abroad for medical treatment.
Following the hearing of the contentions from the prosecution and defence on Tuesday, the presiding judge, Adeniyi Ademola, said the prosecution failed to show reason why the document should not be released.
The Judge ordered the court registrar to release the passport and allow Mr. Dasuki travel for three weeks, after which he would return the passport.
