ICYMI : Here’s What Happened When Ghanaian Boxer, Joseph Lamptey Disrespected The Nigerian Flag

As you may have seen on Social Media the weigh in for the African Boxing Union title erupted today when Joseph Lamptey (Ghana) disrespected the Nigerian flag by throwing it on the floor!.

Lamptey had been upset that he had not been given a Ghanaian flag at the weigh in, so he grabbed the Nigerian flag from Nigerian Larry Ekundayo and threw it on the ground. 

Ekundayo and Lamptey had to be physically restrained at this disrespect. Lampteys actions have not be well received by social media, with people up in arms about it.

Larry Ekundayo (Nigeria) faced Joseph Lamptey (Ghana) on Friday 30th October 2015 and defeated the Ghanaian after 12 rounds to claim the ABU (African Boxing Union) Welterweight Title.
