How Gov Dairus Ishaku Reacted To Taraba Tribunal Verdict On Aisha Alhassan

The embattled governor of Taraba state, Darius Ishaku has on Saturday reacted to the judgement passed by the state elections petitions tribunal.

Speaking to newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital, later on, Mr. Ishiaku said that he would appeal the verdict, adding that he believed that the Court of Appeal would reverse the judgment and give him back his victory.

The tribunal had on Saturday in Abuja quashed his and declared Senator Aisha Alhassan of All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the 2015 governorship election.

Meanwhile, the verdict was greeted with mixed reactions as Mrs. Alhassan’s supporters in Unguwangadi, Magami, Kasuwan-Yelwa, Sabon-Gari and Nyamu Sala areas celebrated, while others criticised it.
