The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) are bracing up for a nationwide showdown over the inability of the nation’s oil company to solve the recurring fuel scarcity troubling the nation.
This is coming on the heels of the country’s harsh economic situations which have been worsened by the continuous petrol shortage and high transportation fares Nigerians pay to get to their work places.
It was believed that several bigwigs of the union have been constantly involved in meetings in order to inform other members regarding the strike action.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, November 24, some unnamed labour leaders issued a warning that if an immediate solution is not provided to end the scarcity issue on time, the possibility of a nationwide strike is in no doubt. They said the reason for this impending showdown is to end the hardship of the poor citizens.
