140 dead in Paris attacks
A number of reported terrorist attacks in Paris, France, have left over 140 people dead, with French president François Hollande declaring a state of emergency.
Over 100 people had been killed at the Bataclan concert venue, with shooting also reported at at least 6 other places including cafe Le Carillon and near Stade de France, where France had just played Germany in an international friendly.
Over 1,500 military personnel have been deployed around the city, with the residents asked to stay indoors.
Hollande, speaking at the Bataclan after the incident, said the attackers would be fought “without mercy”.
The attacks have drawn international sympathy, with #ParisAttacks and #PrayForParis trending on social media.
