Daniel Sturridge Has To Learn How To Deal With Pain

share on:

Daniel Sturridge has been out injured regularly for the last two seasons and people are questioning if he will ever fully recovery. Each time he comes back from injury, it only takes a matter of days before he is injured again. The Reds striker has only played in seven games since October 2013 and has managed three so far this season. He had to have hip surgery in May, which has limited his playing time to just 252 minutes this campaign. The former Chelsea player is yet to start a match under new manager Jurgen Klopp.

The latest setback for Sturridge came on Thursday before the Europa League game against Bordeaux. The striker had to withdraw from the Liverpool squad due to feeling pain in his foot. Manager, Jurgen Klopp, said: “the injury was not serious and warned that the player needed to adapt if his career is to flourish”.

Sturridge has been Liverpool`s star striker after Luis Suarez was sold to Barcelona. He has been out so much recently though that the club are starting to lose patients. If the player does ever manage to come back from injury, there is a huge chance that he will never get back to the sharpness he was at earlier. The road to recovery is going to be a long journey for the England international and once he is going to have to adapt to cope with the physical demands.

At the moment, the best betting strategies are showing that they are outsiders to finish in a Champions League place. If you do put money on them to achieve this, it will be the most profitable betting system as the odds will be heavily stacked in your favour.

Klopp discussed Sturridge`s situation with reporters and said about his striker: “Everyone wants him back on the pitch, but we all have to learn. Now we can say [his latest issue] is not that serious but it is not possible to go on as before so we have to react to every situation – which is normal for injuries”.

With the busy Christmas schedule ahead, Liverpool does not have time to bring gradually back the player. It is going to take lots of hard work on the training pitch to get him back to match fitness. If the player can stay fit for a long period, he guarantees his team goals. People who use betting strategies to bet on games will be closely monitoring his progress. A team with Sturridge in is the most profitable betting system as he scores vital winners.

It is going to be a big season for Sturridge as he needs to prove to his new boss that he can stay fit and be part of his plans moving forward. If the player does not manage to meet that, Liverpool may be willing to let him go in the summer.
