Bomb Blast Rips Through Kano’s Popular GSM Market

Less than 24 hours after a bomb was detonated in the capital of Adamawa State, Yola, another has been set off in the ancient city of Kano in a crowded market.

Two explosions, believed to be from improvised explosive devices, have gone off the GSM Market in Farm Center,Kano. The market is popular for trading of phones, second hand clothes and the like. Details of the tragedy are still not available as rescue operations are ongoing.

Today’s blast is the first attack on Kano since July 6 when a female suicide bomber struck near a Mosque in the city, killing herself.
