Barcelona are considering cashing in on highly-rated young forward Munir El Haddadi in January, reports Sport.
Munir, as he is known, is set to enter the final 18 months of his contract at Barca and he has no intention of extending his deal unless the terms are greatly improved.
According to Sport, senior figures at Barca are considering selling him in January for economic reasons and they feel that a transfer away from the club, with a buyback clause included, could be the best option for the 20-year-old as he is unlikely to feature regularly once Lionel Messi returns from injury.
However, the player’s camp and Barca’s coaching staff are unsure. Boss Luis Enrique has been delighted with the player’s recent performances and wants to keep hold of him. Munir’s current release clause stands at €12m and various European teams have shown interest in securing his services.
