Aliko Dangote not in Mali attack
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has denied being part of 170 hostages being held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali.
Gunmen had attacked the hotel in Mali’s capital city, Bamako, taking both guests and staff of the hotel as hostages.
The attackers had reportedly open fired as they stormed the hotel, chanting “Allahu Akbar”, according to Al Jazeera.
Dangote’s spokesman, Anthony Chiejina had earlier confirmed that Dangote was not involved in the incident, before the multi-billionaire came out himself to confirm.
