Adele’s Hello continues setting records

Adele’s Hello finally made it’s way to US and it entered in style, debuting at number one on the Billboard charts.

It’s just the 24th ever in the history of the Hot 100 that a song will debut at the top of the charts, and Adele’s first.

Before Hello, the last female to debut at number one was Taylor Swift with Shake It Off in 2013.

Hello dethroned The Weeknd’s The Hills to give Adele her fourth number one, after Rolling In The DeepSomeone Like You, and Set Fire To The Rain.

According to Billboard, Hello was downloaded 1.1 million times over the past week, conveniently setting a new record for most downloads in a week.

The record previously belonged to Flo-Rida, whose Right Round was downloaded 600,000 times in a week in February, 2009.
