Gov Rochas Calls 99% Of Imo Workers Computer Illiterate
Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has on Tuesday, November 3, disclosed that 99 per cent of workers in the state are not computer literate.
Speaking with pressmen, Governor Rochas condemned a situation where an office meant for one or two persons would be jam packed with about six-eight workers who are not doing anything, adding that many of the workers are redundant.
However, the governor stated the commitment of his administration to computerize government ministries and educate workers on how to handle computers.
Speaking on workers’ salaries, Okorocha disclosed that the government was not owing, adding that the only people they are ‘‘having issues’’ with are the health workers and some parastatals.
He said:”It is not true that Imo State government is owning workers”.
