Arsene Wenger has been under recent criticism, but Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has defended the Frenchman from his critics.
Wenger has been criticised heavily for failing to win a UCL match so far and underperforming against Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham.
Following the 3-0 win over United before the international break, has seen Arsenal move to second on the log. And Welbeck feels he has done a good job.
“I can only speak for myself, and I’ve not been there as long as some of the other players,” Welbeck told The National.
“Obviously, Arsene’s done a great job at Arsenal, and you can’t really fault what he’s done.
“When I’ve been there he’s been great with me and great with the other lads as well from what I’ve seen. People are entitled to their own opinion. It doesn’t mean what they say is right.”
Welbeck underwent knee surgery in September and has yet to feature for Arsenal this season, but the England international hopes to be back in contention around January.
