Moses out of friendlies
The Nigerian Football Federation has announced that forward Victor Moses will miss Nigeria’s friendlies against DR Congo and Cameroon after pulling out of the squad.
The West Ham player will not be available as the Eagles face DR Congo on the 8th of October and Cameroon 3 days later, with both matches taking place in Belgium.
Moses informed the NFF of his decision to pull out through Super Eagles’ Administrator, Enebi Achor, saying it was a precautionary move to prevent injury.
Moses will now miss the games alongside Kenneth Omoruo, who was sidelined due to injury.
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh expressed his disappointment at not having both players, but revealed that he team would go on without them.
“We have no choice now but to work with the other players who are available,”Oliseh said.
“The fact that the other batch of players from home were not issued their visas last week is also setting us back because we would really want to take advantage of the time to put in a lot of work.”
