Massive blow for England, as John Stones has been ruled out of the matches against Estonia and Lithuania through injury.
Unfortunately, Stones picked up a knee injury in the 1-1 draw between Everton and Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Sunday.
Tottenham’s Kyle Walker has been called up as a replacement for the Everton defender, who has been sent back to his club to receive treatment.
I’m other news three other members of the England squad also missed training, with Wayne Rooney, Danny Ings and Jonjo Shelvey also nursing likely knocks like Stones.
With the aforementioned trio a doubt for the two matches, Walker’s teammate Andros Townsend has also been gifted with a late comeback.
