Funny how things change with a little foreign exchange. From non-league football in Halifax Town to EPL football with Leicester, Vardy is in seventh heaven.
The Leicester striker joins an elite class of players in the premier league to have found the net in seven consecutive matches. Vardy joins the like of Henry, Shearer, Van Nistelrooy and Sturridge.
Vardy was the lone scorer in Leicester City’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace earlier today, which means he has found the net in his last seven premier league matches.
And Vardy’s current run of form means he maintains his spot at the summit of the EPL’s goalscoring charts.
Van Nistelrooy holds the record for the longest matches with goals, with 10 matches to his name. And now Vardy has a shot at equalling and possibly overtaking said record.
