Nyesom Wike disses Rotimi Amaechi
The bad blood between Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike and his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi continued at the thanksgiving for the Rivers state government.
Wike’s election as governor has been annulled by the election tribunal, while Amaechi was repeatedly turned back before finally undergoing his ministerial screening.
At the thanksgiving, which took place at the Obi Wali International Conference centre, Wike, during his speech, subliminally insulted Amaechi again.
He said: “I was minister in this country and I was given the highest responsibility and today some people are struggling to be a minster, and they are celebrating to be a minister as if nobody has been a minister in this state.”
