Former Real Madrid captain Raul says he has no plans to return to the Spanish capital when he retires from football.
The New York Cosmos striker, 38, recently announced he will hang up his boots when the current NASL season ends.
However, the Spaniard wants to remain in the Big Apple for now.
“Right now, I will continue to live here in New York. I know that I will go back to Madrid one day, but that is not in my short-term plans”, he said.
“For the moment, I will be here with my family and we’ll see if an interesting project turns up.”
