No Loyalty: Another Senator Has Withdrawn ‘Vote Of Confidence’ On Saraki

Barely 24 hours after the Chairman, Senate Committee on Business and Rules, Senator Babajide Omowarare (APC-Osun East), withdrew his ‘vote of confidence’, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu representing Jigawa South-West Senatorial District, backed out of the ‘vote of confidence’ passed on the leadership of embattled Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, by 83 Senators.

According to Nakudu, in a widely circulated press statement, he wasn’t consulted before his name was included in the list of the senators who signed the ‘vote of confidence’ on Tuesday, hence the need to withdraw his name.

This has reduced the names of the senators who endorsed the incumbent leadership of the upper chamber of the National Assembly to 82.
